Our Lifestyle is the sum of what each our parts thinks it needs. Remember we are our mind, body, soul and experiences; all of them are trying to be captain of our ship. We can choose to let our body be the captain and indulge in all the bodily "pleasures" like eating, sleeping or sex or we can allow emotions drive us and make our choices for us and let anger, anxiety or sadness dig us deeper into a hole. Nothing is inherently wrong with these unless they drive us.
At the end of the day we have a CHOICE. We will focus on how these choices affect our health.
Many of our health problems are a results of poor choices. We tend to think that the choices we make today ( and every day) have little impact on our health, but today, right now we are the total of all those little choices we have made every day until today. This also means TODAY is the most important day in your life!
Maybe the soda you drink today may not be so detrimental, but when you drink one every day, the calories do add up, and then we wonder why we can't loose weight! Remember the Great Pyramid was built one rock block at a time!
We also have to stop blaming people around us or our lives circumstances for our choices. Sometimes ignorance plays a role in our choices, for example smoking in the mid twentieth century but nowadays we all know what happens when we don't exercise or when we eat processed foods or our mother being such a great baker - yet we choose to let our body guide us.
Choose to better yourself today! Write down what you will do and do it! Don't wait.
